Water Leaks are a major part of mold growth. With water leaks comes soggy/wet insulation and drywall. Soggy and wet insulation and drywall will cause mold growth if not dried out or removed properly.
When working with mold in a home comes extra precautions and steps to ensure no contents expand into the home environment. We ensure an enclosed work environment by using plastic with extendable poles to completely close off the area we are working in. Along with closing off the area we also provide a Hepa certified air scrubber to ensure all air is properly filtered making sure no compromised air seeps into your home.
Working with mold can be a hazardous process, to ensure our workers are properly protected we supply them with certified full-face respirators, hazmat suits, and proper glove wear along with foot coverings. To make sure no contents enter your home we completely remove our compromised PPE before entering the home environment.
When mold is within your insulation and drywall the best process of remediation is to remove the area/materials that are compromised, bag it up securely and dispose. After the contents are removed, we then spray the compromised area with our solution (Cal-Brite) let it sit for 15-20 minutes and wipe thoroughly with microfiber rags or in some cases scrub with brushes to remove the mold. We then let the area dry and do the process a second time to ensure no surfaces are missed.
